Full time – Part Time (3 days per week) - Possibly leading to a full time position.
We in Rubikon are based in Oranmore in Galway and are looking for an experienced Fire, Health and Safety Trainer and Auditor to add to our team to work, from our offices, nationwide on a full time – part time basis. This role will also involve fire, health and safety auditing for our clients.
The ideal candidate will ideally have:
Qualifications and Experience
A third level qualification in Health and Safety ideally with, or working towards Chartered Membership of IOSH,
At least 4 -5 years post college extensive industry experience,
Car owner with full driving licence.
Auditing Experience
Well organised in your work approach and be able to critically audit our clients’ workplace, compiling and submitting audit reports in a timely fashion, with regard to current fire, health and safety legislation, regulations and best practice. (Training in our auditing software will be given).
Relevant Knowledge as Pertains to the Role
A thorough working knowledge fire safety law, licensing law and health and safety law as it applies to the role,
Ideally, a third level qualification in, or broad experience in, the Hospitality / Service Industry Management (although not compulsory),
Experience in compilation of standard fire, health and safety paperwork including Safety Statements, Fire Safety Manuals and Emergency Operational Plans etc.
Training Experience
Formal training qualifications and substantial experience in a broad range of fire, health and safety topics e.g. ideally including Manual Handling, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene Safety, Working at Heights, Safe Pass, First Aid, DSE, Safety Rep, Abrasive Wheels, Fork Trucks etc.
Person Specification
A professional and efficient work ethic,
A flexible ability to work, willing to work the rare evening and weekend if required,
Proficient in computer usage Word, Excel etc. and comfortable in compiling reports to deadlines,
Excellent command of the English language and a right to work full time in the EU.

This position will be an operational position where you will be expected to deputise in the Bar Manager’s absence ensuring high service standards, helping to organise events and parties (up to 1,000 people) and liaise with our client ensuring the smooth management of the food and beverage operation at all times.

Keyholder – opening and closing duties.
Cashing up responsibilities and preparing lodgements for the bank.

We require part time bar tenders in The Clubhouse Bar, UCD.

Experienced working as part of a team of bar tenders, floor, food service and security staff
A flexible ability to work, working some nights and weekends.
