Training is classroom based and takes place over a three day period. After the theory and demonstrations, all candidates must undergo an assessment which is both Practical and Written. All candidates must be present for all three days to qualify for assessment. The student will be assessed on theory skills, MCQ, multiple choice questions, and practical assessments such as the ability to demonstrate treatment of bleeding and trauma, and medical conditions. Students will also be assessed on their CPR and defibrillator skills. On completion of the course, students will receive a two-year nationally recognised certificate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRefresher training must be completed within two years of completion of the course. This is decided on by how many employees, and risk factors within the business, distance from business and definitive medical attention.
