Creating a safe and healthy environment for children is the cornerstone of every high‑quality childcare service. In early‑years settings, where children learn, play, and interact closely with one another, infections can spread quickly if the right precautions aren’t in place. Young children are naturally curious, often exploring the world with their hands and mouths, and their immune systems are still developing — all of which makes them more vulnerable to common illnesses.

At thesame time, childcare professionals work in fast‑paced environments where good hygiene practices must be both practical and consistently applied. This course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, confidence, and everyday strategies needed to reduce infection risks, protect children and staff, and maintain a setting where everyone can thrive.

Assessments
This course contains online self assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification exam you will be issued with a certificate.

Duration & Other Information
You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it. How long it takes you to complete the online course really depends on you but 60 minutes is a good guideline.
