Under Irish law all workers must be trained on the contents of their company's site specific Safety Statement. Upon completion of this course learners will understand their health and safety duties, common health and safety terms, policies, basic emergency procedures and about risk assessments.
Understand the Importance of Safety Statements: Recognise the role of safety statements in promoting workplace health and safety.
Familiarise with Relevant Legislation: Identify the health and safety laws and regulations that govern safety statements.
Learn the Components of a Safety Statement: Outline the key elements, such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and preventive measures.
Recognise Safe Working Procedures: Identify and describe safe practices in the workplace.
Know When to Update Safety Statements: Learn how to review and revise safety statements to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness.
Assessments
This course contains online self assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification exam you will be issued with a certificate.
Duration & Other information
You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it.
