Description
Description
This Mental Health First Aid at Work course helps learners build the confidence and practical skills needed to recognise, understand, and respond to a wide range of mental health challenges in the workplace. It introduces the key concepts of mental health, mental illness, and mental wellbeing, and explains how and why mental health conditions can develop. Throughout the course, learners explore the early signs and symptoms of common conditions such as anxiety, depression, and stress, and learn how to offer supportive, appropriate help to someone who may be struggling—whether they are experiencing a crisis or showing emerging signs of difficulty.
The training also focuses on developing strong empathic listening skills and understanding the impact of stigma on help‑seeking and recovery. Learners gain insight into a broad range of mental health conditions and consider practical ways to promote positive mental health across a team or organisation. By the end of the course, each participant will be able to create a personalised Wellbeing at Work action plan and understand how to contribute to a healthier, more supportive workplace culture.
