Abrasive Wheels

This online Abrasive Wheels course gives learners the practical knowledge and confidence to work safely with a wide range of abrasive wheel equipment. It explains how wheels are identified and marked, how to choose the correct wheel for cutting or grinding tasks, and what to look for when inspecting both wheels and machines before use. The course also guides learners through the correct method for mounting a wheel so it operates safely and efficiently.

Alongside equipment handling, the training highlights the essential PPE required for different tasks and outlines what a safe working environment should look like when abrasive wheels are in use. Learners also gain an understanding of how wheels should be stored to prevent damage, deterioration, and unnecessary risk. By the end of the course, participants will feel prepared to select, check, and use abrasive wheels safely and responsibly in the workplace.

Assessments

This course contains online self-assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self-assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification examyou will be issued with a certificate

Duration & Other Information

You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it. How long it takes you to complete the online Abrasive Wheels course really depends on you but 60 minutes is a good guideline.
