The purpose of this course Abrasive Wheels course is to give learners an understanding of the safe use of abrasive wheels and the legislation surrounding their use.
At the end of this course you will be able to :
- Understand wheel markings.
- Select the correct wheel for cutting/grinding.
- Carry out pre use inspections on wheels and machines.
- Mount the wheel to ensure safe operation.
- Select the appropriate PPE for the job.
- Identify a safe work environment.
- State the storage requirements for wheels.
Assessments
This course contains online self-assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self-assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification examyou will be issued with a certificate
Duration & Other Information
You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it. How long it takes you to complete the online Abrasive Wheels course really depends on you but 60 minutes is a good guideline.
