On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of cardiac emergencies, including heart attacks and strokes.
- Understand how to perform effective CPR and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely.
- Respond to choking incidents and other life-threatening situations.
- Understand the correct application of basic first aid techniques for cardiac emergencies.
- Understand the importance of quick response times and coordination with emergency services.
Assessments
This course contains online self-assessments after each module and an online certification exam at the very end. The self-assessments do not count towards the final examination marks but simply give you an idea of how you are doing. On successfully passing the final certification exam you will be issued with a certificate
Duration & Other Information
You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it. How long it takes you to complete the online Fire Warden course really depends on you but 60 minutes is a good guideline. We use adaptive software so the course can be completed on your preferred device.
